How Does Ortho K Work?

Ortho-k retainers are worn on the front of your eyes, floating on your thin tear layer. This liquid layer creates a gentle hydraulic force that shapes the corneal epithelium to the correct curvature for light rays to focus in your eyes. You only wear ortho-k retainers while you sleep. Then remove them in the morning and the effect lasts all day. So, instead of wearing glasses all day, every day for the rest of your life, you simply wear your vision retainers overnight. Then you're glasses-free to enjoy activities and perform your work freely.

This is not a slow, progressive vision therapy or strengthening of the muscles. Ortho-k takes just a few days to achieve the full effect. It’s completely safe and reversible.
