Contact Lenses: Vision Without Borders

We’re no strangers to the benefits that contact lenses can offer. While we love a fabulous pair of glasses, contact lenses can provide you the same crisp vision without the worry of protecting your frames or making sure they match your outfit for the day.
On top of this, advancements in contact lens technology have helped them reach more people than ever before by addressing several types of eye and vision issues, ranging from myopia all the way to dry eye.

Are Contacts Right For You?

We want you to enjoy your contacts with clarity and comfort. To ensure this, we offer comprehensive contact lens exams and fittings.
While many people can wear contact lenses safely and comfortably, some issues may prevent you from wearing them. These issues can include:
- Overly dry eyes
- Frequent eye infections
- Severe allergies
We can detect these issues during your contact lens exam. We’ll also be happy to offer alternatives if contacts aren’t the right choice for you.

What To Expect From Your Exam & Fitting

A contact lens exam and fitting is a process that helps us determine your candidacy for contacts, what types of issues your contacts should address, and which type of lens is right for you.
Both children and adults can wear contact lenses. We’ll use modern technologies like corneal topography and axial length biometry to get a clear look at the shape and health of your cornea and how contact lenses can provide clear vision and address issues.
We offer a range of contact lens options, including specialty lenses that address myopia, dry eye, and keratoconus. Before we can determine which lens may suit your needs, though, we need to perform our contact lens exam and fitting process.
The Eye Exam
Before we can fit your lenses, we’ll start by examining your eyes and looking for issues we need to address. A contact lens exam is very similar to our routine eye exam process, but with a few different steps to ensure contact lenses are right for you and your needs.
Learn more about our eye exam process by visiting our Adult & Senior Eye Exams page.
Fitting Your Lenses
If you’re a candidate for contacts, we’ll get started on fitting your lens.
We’ll measure the size and shape of your pupil, cornea, and iris during the fitting process before having you try on a pair suitable to your needs. We’ll also examine your tear film to ensure your contact lens stays hydrated and comfortable.
We may make some slight adjustments to your lens to ensure their fit, but we won’t prescribe your lens until after the trial process.
Giving Them a Try
We may have you take home a supply of trial lenses to see how well your eyes adjust to your contacts and if there are further adjustments we may need to make. The trial period takes place over a few days, but we’ll have you in for a follow-up appointment to confirm your prescription.
Take a Look At Our Specialty Contacts
